IRIS Pairs legendary 87-year-old documentarian Albert Maysles with Iris Apfel, the quick-witted, flamboyantly dressed 93-year-old style maven who has had an outsized presence on the New York fashion scene for decades. More than a fashion film, the documentary is a story about creativity and how, even in Iris' dotage, a soaring free spirit continues to inspire. IRIS portrays a singular woman whose enthusiasm for fashion, art and people are life's sustenance and reminds us that dressing, and indeed life, is nothing but an experiment. Despite the abundance of glamour in her current life, she continues to embrace the values and work ethic established during a middle-class Queens upbringing during the Great Depression.

It’s been said that the actor is in the works of producing a story based on the lives of Trayvon Martin and his now famed killer George Zimmerman. Smith’s son, Jaden Smith is said to star as the 17 yr old victim of the controversial shooting that took place in Florida in 2012. Now here’s the fuss, the film will allegedly pay George Zimmerman over 3 million dollars, which of course makes him profit off such a tragic event. Sources say the controversy surrounding the movie has critics hesitant on the overall positive outlook of the film especially sinces it’s said to be told from Zimmerman’s point of view. Seeming to be guilty by popular opinion Zimmerman instantly became public enemy number 1 after being found not guilty of his charges during the case two years ago, which has many in bitter spirits. Questions about if the film will include his odd behavior after the case took place or his prior molestation charges have come up, most likely hinting towards the fairness and type of picture they’re painting of Martin through his killers eyes.

Questions of Smith's compassion for the situation over him wanting to make a film or money have also risen and controversy surrounding the situation is all the buzz. Both Jaden and Will are no amateurs when it comes to partnering up on the big screen and we’re interested to see how this pans out.
